Art Monday artwork for sale...

Yes, the time has come...we've posted some of our Art Monday mixed media work from this past week on ebay!

We're starting the bids really low in the hopes that it will help fund our weekly Art Monday outings, and then to buy supplies.

Those Art Mondays sound like fun! What kind of place is the Argonaut? A pub or something? Sounds like a really inspiring group & atmosphere -- Alexandra (marvelous madness) & I have been trying half-heartedly for a while to come up with a creative women's group -- not just for visual artists, but for writers, too, but we haven't managed to get it going. It's good to hear about other successful groups. Also, like your piece in your last post!

Thanks, Stef and Ellia!

Laini, Art Mondays has been a lot of fun! The Argonaut is a new tavern/pub in a changing neighborhood in DC. This is their web site: argonautdc.com

They have a bar and a dining area. We get the biggest table in their dining area and it works out great! As soon as the first one of us gets there, they bring out the right number of glasses for all of us, a pitcher of our favorite beer, and a whole pitcher of water!

We love the atmosphere, and the super friendly people working there. We went back on a Friday night to see what it would be like on a busy night and it was fabulous. All sorts of people, and there were even a bunch of little kids running around!

Art Monday started out by rotating studios every week, and having it set to the same day/time helps. Good luck with getting your group going! I bet you would be an awesome person to collaborate with!

Thanks, Becky!

segedy: Yes, we're planning on donating art to the Argonaut, or maybe even instituting a beer-for-art initiative!
